The Foreign Exchange Market
Foreign exchange, or Forex trading, is the simultaneous exchange of one country's currency with that of another country. An investor who believes the value of the Australian dollar will appreciate relative to the U.S. dollar can position for such an occurrence by buy the Aussie$ and selling the US$. The numerous country currencies that exist in the world provide a myriad of trading and hedging opportunities, making the volume of the foreign exchange market greater than any other market in the world. This incredibly large and liquid market is estimated to trade over $1.9 trillion dollars per day in volume.

Unlike equities, the foreign exchange market is a seamless 24-hour market. This gives FX traders the ability to react immediately to events and news releases around the world. In the foreign exchange market, no commissions or exchange fees are paid because you deal directly with a market maker. There is still a cost to initiating a trade, but that cost is reflected in the bid/ask spread that is present in all markets. GFT is compensated by revenues from its activities as a currency dealer, including proceeds from buying, selling, converting, as well as holding currencies and interest on deposited funds and rollover fees. Forex trading is not conducted on a regulated exchange and as a result, there are additional risks associated with forex trading.

Trading Application Installation
The My4xOnline trading application is a PC-specific executable "desktop" application that is installed on the user's PC.

To begin the download process, please click on the Trade (.exe file) link and simply install the application to your desktop. Once the download process is complete, the application will open and require your Username and PIN ID. No additional setup is required on your PC for the executable application. The installation process will provide a desktop icon that will allow you to open the My4xOnline trading platform.

Once the My4xOnline trading application is open, the user should click on the bid or ask of a currency pair in the Spot Composite Box to activate the Trade Buttons. The Trade Buttons are the primary access points for trading, giving the user the ability to set the platform to two-click or single-click trading. They will open sequentially on the user screen. The user should save screen settings before logging out or closing the application to preserve the screen settings and configuration.
